Senior Staff Accountant
ASUS is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support their finance department through accurate financial record maintenance and reporting. The role involves ensuring compliance with accounting standards and contributing to the efficiency and integrity of financial operations.
Responsibilities
Timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
Prepare monthly/quarterly consolidated financial reporting packages for submission to HQ
Support quarterly and annual audits by preparing schedules, gathering documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries
Prepare recurring journal entries, including but not limited to amortization, depreciation, payroll, and lease accounting entries
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and cash management activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Review supporting documentation for all entries and maintaining proper audit trails
Identify, research, and resolve discrepancies or aged items, ensuring accounts are clean for year-end close
Perform complex reconciliations for accounts such as advance payments, related party transactions, and other high-volume balance sheet accounts
Conduct tariff reviews and analyses to ensure completeness and accuracy in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
Prepare fixed asset reports, manage additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation
Maintain capitalization policies, monitor construction-in-progress, and support internal controls and audits
Develop, implement, and maintain internal control frameworks to ensure the reliability of financial reporting, safeguard company assets, and support compliance with corporate policies, and relevant regulatory standards
Collaborate with cross-functional departments (Finance, Operations, MKT, IT, HR, etc.) to design process improvements, remediate control deficiencies, and provide training to ensure consistent understanding and execution of internal control procedures across the organization
Perform ad hoc analyses, reporting, and project support as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree of Accounting
5+ years of relevant accounting experience
Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required
Ability to work independently and actively resolve issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP/ IFRS
Proficiency in month-end close processes, journal entry preparation, and reconciliation of complex accounts
Understanding of tariff, PSC/drawback entries, and related financial implications
Experience with HFM reporting or similar financial consolidation tools
Ability to work with large datasets and multiple systems for reconciliation
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Experience with ERP systems
Advanced Excel proficiency required
