Mid LevelEmpire Care Centers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Director to lead an engaging, resident-centered activities program. This role involves planning, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive activities program that meets the social, emotional, spiritual, and recreational needs of residents.

Responsibilities
Plan, develop, and implement a creative, engaging, and recurring activities schedule
Lead group and one-on-one activities, including for bed-bound residents
Encourage resident participation in crafts, music, and social activities
Complete all required documentation, progress notes, and activity records accurately and timely
Identify and support residents’ social, emotional, spiritual, and recreational needs through regular interaction
Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to support individualized care plans
Qualification
Required
Completion of a state-approved 36-hour Activities Director training course
Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Therapy, or a related field
Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Warm, compassionate, and engaging personality
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Preferred
Experience working with the elderly population
Creativity and enthusiasm for resident engagement
