Account Executive, Ingredients
Permanent is a public benefit company dedicated to advancing regenerative agriculture and supplying better foods at better prices to large enterprise food buyers. They are seeking an Account Executive to lead the full sales cycle and manage mid-sized and large accounts across the U.S., focusing on the West.

Responsibilities
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing and multi-million dollar account management
Depending on seniority, either influence or lead Permanent’s sales strategy and roadmap
Collaborate with Product to refine our marketplace, supply, and distribution network to create a best-in-industry buyer experience
Collaborate closely with Supply and Operations to identify opportunities and ensure timely order fulfillment
Develop and measure sales processes, systems, and metrics to scale with our growing team
Identify and validate the most impactful tactics, programs, marketing strategies, and branding efforts
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience working for a grower-shipper-packer, aggregator, marketer, brokerage, or foodservice distributor in the fresh produce industry
In-depth knowledge of the wholesale produce market and supply chain, with a proven track record of building strong relationships with buyers and suppliers. Strong candidates will likely have sold pallet quantities into foodservice, retail, or processing and built custom supply chains to do so
Significant sales experience in a fast-paced environment, including full-cycle sales management, and launching new sales channels
Entrepreneurial initiative and a bias for action; ready to roll up your sleeves and work with a small, dedicated team
Passionate about sustainable food systems from both a people and climate perspective
Preferred
Experience building revenue from the ground up
Strengths in one or more areas: marketing, program management, buying/procurement, growth, or logistics
