Responsibilities

Process bi-weekly payroll for multiple entities with a high level of accuracy and timeliness
Audit payroll and timekeeping records before and after processing to ensure completeness and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Review time entries, meal breaks, adjustments, and deductions to ensure accuracy
Process voluntary and involuntary deductions, including garnishments, in compliance with applicable requirements
Ensure accurate and timely funding of benefit and retirement plan contributions
Support payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and integrations between payroll and compliance systems
Validate payroll system integrations and partner with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies
Research, analyze, and resolve payroll inquiries and variances
Coordinate closely with Human Resources to ensure accurate employee data flow into payroll systems
Compile and maintain payroll support documentation for approvals, audits, and reporting
Distribute year-end tax forms and required employee notifications
Calculate and process recurring stipends or supplemental payroll payments
Prepare monthly payroll-related journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Post general ledger entries and support month-end close activities
Assist with labor cost allocations across affiliated entities
Provide audit support and maintain organized documentation
Perform additional accounting duties as assigned
