Responsibilities

Assess process capabilities, prioritize process improvement opportunities, and innovate and implement process improvements on multiple and moderately complex processes
Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, fixturing, and/or automation
Execute the functional deliverables associated with the PDP/TDP, Project Management, and Quality Systems
Write clean and concise work instructions that can be understood by product builders
Serve as a key resource or expert, participating in setting technical direction for the function and/or organization
Own/contribute to technical reports, validations, and qualifications by capturing experimental results
Ensure visibility and closure of process issues (e.g., yields, cost, capability, etc.) per PDP milestones
Evaluate external technologies and strategically identify opportunities to implement them internally
Provide on-going mentoring and technical guidance to managers, other engineers, technicians, and functional group
Complete proper documentation to meet quality systems requirements (e.g., BOM's, Routers, FMEA's, etc.)
Write and review validation protocols and reports applicable to new processes
Serve as a key contributor and participant in technical reviews, preparing and presenting technical data and recommendations at technical and business reviews
Prepare and present technical data and recommendations at technical reviews
Oversee development builds associated with the project using special work requests
Develop and transfer qualified production lines to Manufacturing
Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) input to the engineering print package
Contribute ideas to or generate Intellectual Property submissions
Train and/or provide work direction to technicians and may train manufacturing personnel when required as part of a validation
Train, mentor, and/or provide work direction to early-career engineers
May serve as core team member or extended team member on new product projects

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 7 (or 8) years of professional engineering experience relevant to this role, or minimum of 5 (or 6 or 7) years of professional engineering experience relevant to this role with an advanced degree (OPTIONAL depending on whether you'd consider advanced degrees in lieu of industry experience)
Experience with schematic and circuit board layout (for example Altium, Cadence)
Experience with Design Analysis Testing (DAT) and Design Verification Testing (DVT)
Experience programming with Visual Basic, Python, C/C++, or related programming languages
Integrated circuit testing experience

Preferred

Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering
Software and systems experience; equipment and fixturing design
Process Development experience; equipment validations and process characterization experience
Wafer-level test and burn-in experience
Experience with IC failure diagnostics
Ability to translate theoretical and abstract ideas into meaningful innovation
Semiconductor testing experience, for example Teradyne test systems
Experience with digital boundary scan, analog boundary scan, internal scan, LBIST, MBIST
Data driven individual; statistical analysis experience
Prior experience in medical device industry or similar highly-regulated industry
Demonstrated use of Design for Six Sigma tools (Design of Experiments, problem solving)
Highly motivated individual that can independently drive deliverables to completion through collaboration among team members
Experience in New Product Development
Demonstrated ability to develop and drive innovative solutions into processes and products
Demonstrated understanding of problem solving and root cause investigations
Troubleshooting in combination with product yield and performance
Experience with mechanical design
Ability to schedule out timelines with specific milestones to achieve and demonstrated success
Experience with Process Verification and Validation
Expertise in Operations and/or New Product Development
Open to travel (domestic or international) up to 10% of time
