CSCI is a company seeking a System Administrator to manage and support various technical systems. The role involves troubleshooting and maintaining network infrastructure, collaborating with product teams, and providing system administration for Windows, Linux, and Office 365 environments.

Responsibilities
Learn and explore the product’s functionality to streamline daily administration of Linux, Windows, GitLab, and Office 365 environments
Troubleshoot end-user hardware/software/network issues and manage small-network infrastructure, including switches, IP cameras, and network drives
Collaborate with the product team and senior network engineers/admins/managers to document IP schemas, integrate tactical networks into enterprise systems, provide content for standard operating procedures, and discuss future projects and plans
Provide device, system, and network maintenance for both project systems and internal corporate infrastructure as required by your project team leader(s)
Learn CSCI’s proprietary image enhancement software to optimize technical systems administration and networking support
Provide system administration and networking support for Windows, Linux, GitLab, and Microsoft Office 365 systems
Implement and manage small networks and systems as required
Establish or refine documentation and maintain an IP schema for project or contractual systems
Provide hardware and software support to networked systems, switches, cameras, and network drives
Configure IP cameras with Real Time Streaming Protocols and video codecs such as H.264 and H.265
Support technical writers by providing information on the standard operating procedures for troubleshooting and resolving software, hardware, and systems
Deploy to local customer sites to provide technical support for site surveys, system configuration, troubleshooting, and similar Field Service Representative duties as required. Occasional travel to non-local sites may be required
Qualification
Required
US Citizenship is required
A minimum of an Associates Degree
A minimum of 3 years in systems administration
The candidate must be or able to be cleared at a Secret security level
Practical working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
Competence with administration of Linux-based systems
Network configuration, management, and optimization via Linux NetworkManager Command Line Interface (nmcli) / Netplan
Familiarity with Python, JavaScript (JS), YAML, and PowerShell programming and scripting
Candidate must possess ability to communicate effectively and with courteous professionalism while engaging with team members and stakeholders
Practical knowledge of various computer, network, and security systems and frameworks
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate with a non-technical audience about security measures and/or requirements
Equivalent work experience to a A.A. or A.S. is an additional 5 years of work experience
Preferred
Familiarity with deployment of proprietary applications via Terraform, GitLab, and Ansible
Familiarity with Zero Trust environments
