Chemical Engineer / Tool Install Process Chemical/Mechanical Engineer
PEAK Technical Staffing USA is seeking a Chemical Engineer / Tool Install Process Chemical/Mechanical Engineer to work as the facilities Process/Mechanical Engineering Owner’s Representative on projects central to clients’ manufacturing operations in Boise, ID. The role involves collaborating with client owners to review designs and specifications, and overseeing the installation of complex manufacturing tools and facilities infrastructure mechanical systems.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with client owners to establish design requirements and produce construction documents for the installation of complex manufacturing tools and facilities infrastructure mechanical systems
Design and oversee piping for equipment water, wastewater, process chemicals, and gases in highly complex, densely packed industrial facilities. This may include retrofitting existing building systems, engineering calculations, equipment and component sizing, selection, and specification, and providing support during construction and integration into the factory
As the Process chemical/mechanical representative on a multi-discipline design team, edit client specifications and standards, review design packages consisting of P&IDs, layout drawings, details, and equipment plans, followed by review of vendor submittals, RFIs, and construction documents
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited University
At least 2 years of practical application of chemical/mechanical facilities engineering, including ultrapure water, chemical distribution, gas distribution, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, waste drains, pumps, tank storage/design, and related chemical/mechanical facilities systems
At least 2 years of design project delivery processes experience
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in various teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and leadership experience
Position requires field visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction. Applicant must be able to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, work in small spaces, and lift and carry up to 25 lbs
Applicant must complete a background check, drug screen, and be fully authorized to work for any client in the United States. Sponsorship or continuation of a visa for this position is not available
Preferred
At least 1 year of experience working with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools, either their manufacture, installation, or use in cleanrooms
Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Forward-thinking, eager to learn best practices and contribute with innovative ideas
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
Passion for buildings and construction
1 year field experience
EIT or PE license
