Responsibilities
Establish network objectives that align with organizational project goals
Provide technical support to internal teams and external clients, resolving technical challenges and maintaining service levels
Plan, design, configure, and implement network hardware and software to optimize availability and performance
Conduct site visits and provide support across hospital campuses and remote clinics
Maintain network documentation, standards, and system architecture
Perform after-hours on-call responsibilities as required
Coordinate cross-functional activities and work directly with patients, customers, and healthcare professionals
Collaborate with executives, directors, and vendors on infrastructure strategies
Qualification
Required
Minimum three years of related experience supporting LAN, firewall, and network systems daily
In-depth understanding of Windows workstation support, TCP/IP transport, routing protocols, network design, troubleshooting, network diagnostic tools, and Microsoft networking
High-level knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, Windows Server, Linux, and Unix
Experience with data center designs, such as EVPN, VXLAN, and spine-leaf architectures
Expertise in enterprise security integration: firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC, zero-trust environments
Proficient with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Splunk, Wireshark, Microsoft System Center) and developing proactive alerting strategies
Knowledge of automation tools (Python, Ansible) for provisioning and configuration management
Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-team collaboration skills
Capacity planning, disaster recovery, high-availability, and business continuity experience
Strong research, troubleshooting, and diagnostic abilities in complex, multi-vendor environments
Ability to lead large-scale projects balancing performance, cost, and security
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field required
Must use a private vehicle for off-campus duties; valid driver's license and required insurance
Preferred
Three years supporting large networks (more than 1,000 users)
Preferred: Aruba ACA/ACP, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS, Fortinet FCA/FCF
