The primary purpose of this role is to lead packaging activities that deliver innovative and sustainable packaging solutions while driving cost savings for the Condiments category.

Responsibilities

Deliver key packaging activities to deliver Innovations, Cost Savings, Business Continuity and Sustainability program OTIF

Manage multiple package development projects and prioritize tasks based on timelines

Ideate and implement large scale cost savings programs

Influence and gain stakeholder buy-in to drive projects from concept to completion

Interface with Manufacturing and Supply Chain for packaging related projects including line trials, production start-ups, and cost savings

Improve line efficiencies related to packaging and resolve documentation issues for specifications

Provide technical guidance to junior team members and hold suppliers accountable

Required

B.S. Degree in Packaging Science, or engineering equivalent

2 to 5 years' experience in the packaging field

Strong understanding of rigid packaging, with relevant qualification experience on different molding platforms

Must demonstrate understanding of package development process and engineering principles

Must demonstrate ability to design and develop primary and secondary packaging components that meet consumer, Brand, customer, and manufacturing objectives

Must be able to demonstrate a general understanding of project management to realize the order, importance, and impact of appropriate project activities and maintain Packaging commitments to project scheduling

Must understand consumer, business, and category needs and the relationship to packaging decisions & execution
