Responsibilities

Update of the sites Chemical Management program
Assist in preparation for sites future VPP (Voluntary Protection Program) Certification
Revamp the locations contractor safety program
Assist with the implementation of updated policies and procedures as they are rolled out
Assist in Lancaster rapid kaizens as a EHS representative
Deploy, support, or assist with maintaining EHS programs and procedures to meet business unit EHS objectives and targets with an emphasis on Safety and Accident Prevention, EHS Regulatory Compliance, and Resource Conservation
Deploy, support, or assist with maintaining applicable EHS management systems, which may include Environmental Management System and a Compliance Assurance program
Deploy, support, or maintain EHS reporting, which includes performance against targets and goals, regulatory reporting, and corporate business unit and customer required reporting
Support or maintain an EHS training program for applicable EHS training required across the business unit from employee to leader
Deploy, support, or maintain EHS cultural programs

Required

Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Environmental Science/Engineering
Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Industrial/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering
Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Public Health or related field
Completion of at least sophomore year of college with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Basic understanding of EHS concepts (risk, hazards, controls, PPE, environmental aspects)
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels
Self motivated, organized, and willing to be present on the shop floor/field as needed
Primarily on site role in a manufacturing, warehouse, or similar operational environment
Regular presence in production/field areas with required PPE
May involve standing, walking, and climbing stairs or ladders during inspections and audits
