Financial Aid Advisor (Central Processing Team)
Herzing University is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor to join their Central Processing Team. The role involves providing high-level customer service and expertise in financial aid, assisting students with funding options, and managing student caseloads to ensure their financial aid needs are met.

Responsibilities
Revise financial aid award packages due to updates such as changes in course schedules, approved breaks, eligibility changes, and other factors
Troubleshoot disbursement rejects and resolve factors preventing timely disbursement of funding
Dedication to continuous improvement especially in the areas of student satisfaction and accuracy
Demonstrate all aspects of the PRICE of Success
Meet with new students to understand funding needs, provide guidance on completion of the FAFSA and required documents, and review eligibility for funding options including Federal Title IV funds, scholarships, state funding, and military funds
Utilize financial aid software to review student documents and eligibility criteria to finalize financial aid awards
Provide gap funding options to students and support students in determining the best option to meet their financial needs and support their educational goals
Counsel students on financial literacy and wellness topics for the purpose of educating and encouraging responsible borrowing practices
Manage a student caseload, striving to build relationships and support students in resolving all matters related to their financial aid funding
Perform regular outreach to students requiring action including needed documents, loan acceptance, and past due balances
Qualification
Required
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Well organized with attention to detail
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
1-3 Years of Title IV administration experience preferred
