Director/ExecutiveNHS England is seeking a Training Programme Director in Internal Medicine Training to support the strategic development of the School of Medicine. The role involves leading recruitment and retention strategies, enhancing training experiences, and working closely with resident doctors and trainers on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives.

Responsibilities
Lead on the development of Schools recruitment and retention strategy
Contribute to supporting the school operational programme
Support the Head of School in the strategic development of the School of Medicine
Consider retention of IMS1 doctors/progression to HST
Plan rotations
Provide support to Flexible Portfolio Trainees working with IMS1 doctors in EDI projects
Liaise with Associate Dean’s and Head/Associate Head of School to develop interventions and provide advice
Qualification
Required
Experience in strategic development within a medical education context
Ability to lead on recruitment and retention strategies
Experience in supporting operational programs in a medical training environment
Familiarity with NHS England's integration processes and implications for educator recruitment
Experience in organizing rotations and supporting doctors through ARCPs
Knowledge of the MRCP examination process
Experience in enhancing training experiences for resident doctors and trainers
Commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives
Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including Associate Deans and Heads of School
Experience in developing interventions and providing advice in a medical education setting
Willingness to work in-person at least 40% of the time
