Responsibilities
Drive end-to-end project delivery across multiple systems, platforms, and technologies to achieve strategic outcomes
Lead operational initiatives that enhance business processes, improve system performance, and elevate service delivery
Collaborate closely with internal teams, business stakeholders, external vendors, and implementation partners to ensure cohesive and effective execution
Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and risk registers to support disciplined execution
Facilitate executive-level reporting, communication, enabling timely decision-making, and alignment with leadership priorities
Navigate ambiguity with confidence, drive clarity, and focus in complex, fast-paced environments
Ensure timely, on-scope, and on-budget delivery of projects and operational initiatives, consistently aligned with business objectives

Required
Must have Recent experience with in the last 3 jobs… Experience in Academia or Education Industry coming from a University or any College having worked as an IT PM (UC Schools are best!)
10 + years of hands-on Project Management (Enterprise PMO) experience, demonstrating the ability to lead complex initiatives across diverse technical and business domains
The Senior PM (Cyber Security & AI projects) delivers sustainable, incremental enhancements in key IT areas such as cybersecurity, (AI) artificial intelligence projects and other enterprise-level technologies. Drive end-to-end project delivery across multiple systems, platforms, and technologies to achieve strategic outcomes
Senior experience: Collaborate closely with internal teams, business stakeholders, external vendors, and implementation partners to ensure cohesive and effective execution
Certification: PMP or CSM (MUST!!! – (Proof required) (must show proof of current PMP certification, submit with resume
Bachelors Degree in Technical relevant field
Minimum 9 years of experience in project management
Advanced knowledge of PM methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum)
Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working with a high degree of ambiguity
Highly advanced skills associated with end-to-end PMLC for programs/projects of large -scale scope
Demonstrated project leadership, reporting and management skills
Demonstrated effective communication (written & verbal) and effective interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to present/communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization
Able to deliver projects timely within budget and defined scope
Demonstrated complex problem-solving skills with a 'can do' attitude
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Preferred
Prior experience in higher education, especially within University of California institutions
Experience managing cybersecurity projects and AI awareness
Familiarity with UC policies, governance, and enterprise systems is a plus
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
