Responsibilities
Design mechanical systems for custom industrial machinery, including pneumatic and hydraulic components
Interpret customer requirements and develop layouts, drawings, and specifications
Create 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and bills of material
Support project timelines by maintaining accurate documentation and engineering changes
Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, and project teams to ensure designs are buildable
Review vendor components and proposals to ensure technical and cost alignment
Apply lessons learned to improve future designs
Provide technical guidance to designers as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years of experience in custom machinery, industrial equipment, or heavy manufacturing
Strong 3D CAD experience (Autodesk tools preferred)
Experience producing manufacturing drawings and BOMs
Working knowledge of mechanical systems; pneumatic/hydraulic exposure preferred
Comfortable working cross-functionally and in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing
Familiarity with CAD data management systems
Previous involvement supporting project schedules or build timelines
