Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking a School Aide to provide a security presence and ensure the safety of students at Navajo Elementary School. The role involves monitoring campus activities, performing minor housekeeping tasks, and reporting unauthorized personnel.

Education Management

Responsibilities

Provides a security presence at the school complex by walking around the facility and monitoring activities and students; reports the presence of unauthorized personnel to the school office

Monitors activities on campus to ensure the safety of students, which may include: identifying safety violations; diffusing situations among students; reinforcing positive social behavior

Performs minor housekeeping and groundskeeping tasks to keep the environment free of litter and/or dangerous situations

Performs other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or G.E.D.; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above

Ability to complete Crossing Guard training

Valid Department of Public Safety (DPS) Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC)

Basic safety and security principles, practices, equipment, and procedures
