VTS is seeking a Senior Software Developer/Senior GIS Support Specialist to provide development and technical support for a large-scale Enterprise GIS environment. The role involves maintaining system stability, deploying enhancements, and resolving complex issues across mission-critical GIS applications.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support for ArcGISFM-based Enterprise GIS applications
Develop and implement minor enhancements using: ○ Python ○ AngularJS ○ ArcGIS JavaScript API ○ ASP.NET (C#)
Support Landbase GIS applications, including new development and troubleshooting
Deploy and administer ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal and Server)
Administer ArcGIS Server sites, user roles, and privileges
Publish GIS services and manage access controls
Perform system monitoring and performance tuning
Coordinate with server, security, database (DBA), and infrastructure teams
Provide ticket status updates to client SMEs
Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by enterprise GIS end users
Document best practices and share lessons learned with the broader team

Required

5-10 years of experience administering, supporting, and developing ArcGIS applications
5-10 years of experience administering and supporting AcrFM applications
Strong development experience with: Python
Strong development experience with: AngularJS
Strong development experience with: ArcGIS JavaScript API
Strong development experience with: .NET (C#)
Proven experience deploying and administering ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal & Server)
Experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and service publishing
Strong ability to collaborate across technical teams (server, security, DBA, etc.)
Ability to understand requirements and independently support enterprise applications
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
ArcGIS Desktop/AcrMap
ESRI ArcMap
ArcGIS Server (Administrator)
ArcGIS Server & Portal
ArcFM
Enterprise GIS and database project administration and testing
GIS software maintenance (ArcGIS, ArcSDE)
Application administration and troubleshooting

Preferred

Utility industry experience (electric, gas, or energy environments)
Windows Server administration experience
FME Suite experience supporting regulated or enterprise-scale environments
Tier 1, 2, 3 support experience
Second-level customer support
Solutions architecture experience
Electric, Gas, or Energy Utilities background
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
