Intern - Mental Health (Summer)
The State of South Dakota is seeking a Mental Health Intern for the Department of Corrections - Behavioral Health. The intern will provide mental health services in adult correctional facilities, including assessments, group and individual sessions, treatment plans, and documentation.

Qualification
Required
Applicant must be a current part-time or full-time student (minimum of 6 credit hours) in upcoming semester or in the immediately preceding semester
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply
By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program
Successful applicant(s) will be required to undergo a background investigation
Offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion of a drug screening
Preferred
Preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior
Preference may be given to South Dakota residents
Preference may be given to students of South Dakota institutions
