Tapio is a leading PE-backed distributed energy IPP seeking a Chief Operating Officer to drive execution and scale. The COO will oversee development, project operations, customer experience, and regulatory affairs, ensuring operational excellence and capital efficiency.

Information Technology & Services

Responsibilities

Drive Execution and Accountability: Translate strategic goals into annual and quarterly plans, implement KPI-driven performance tracking and establish operational rigor across teams
Streamline Operations: Improve coordination between development, finance, and legal to accelerate project throughput and decision-making
Scale the Platform: Strengthen systems, processes, and infrastructure to support growth in project development, construction, and asset operations
Own P&L Delivery: Lead revenue and cost management, ensuring capital efficiency and strong asset-level performance
Enable Leadership: Mentor department heads (development, EPC/project operations, customer operations, and regulatory) building a cohesive, high-performing team

Required

10+ years of executive-level operational leadership, ideally in community solar, distributed generation, or renewable infrastructure

A leadership style that combines execution discipline with people development, raising the bar through clarity, structure, and empowerment
