Spirituality, Culture, and Health (SCH) Program Manager
University of Nebraska Medical Center is seeking a Program Manager for their Spirituality, Culture and Health (SCH) program. Strategically oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of multiple projects and initiatives affiliated with the Spirituality, Culture and Health (SCH) program
Managing budgets, staff, and interest-holders
Program development and evaluation
Financial management
Leading and mentoring program staff/students
Ensuring programs meet objectives on time and within scope
Interface with researchers, funders and community partners as a primary liaison for SCH to meet research/community/grant objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
Health Promotion or a related field
3 years
Experience managing workforce development programs with populations underrepresented in health sciences careers

Knowledge of the principles and methods of Indigenous education
Knowledge of health and human services systems
Knowledge of American Indian local, state and national organizations
Knowledge of public health functions as it relates to training and education
Knowledge of arts-based and Indigenous research methods
Experience in urban and rural Native American communities
Program evaluation experience
Mixed methods research design
Knowledge of environmental health/justice
Arts-based & Indigenous research methods
Demonstrated commitment to advancing equity through strengths-based and culturally grounded approaches to health promotion
Strong research background with demonstrated publication record
Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Understanding of and respect for the values and beliefs of Native Americans
Strong written and oral communication, excellent interpersonal communications and group facilitation skills
Knowledge of/ability to develop knowledge of the following: Native American/Indigenous Health and Wellness, Maternal and Child Health, Language and Culture, Spirituality, Mindfulness, One Health, Cancer Biology, Cancer Prevention and Treatment and local and community social services and higher education
Preferred
Doctoral degree
PhD in Health Promotion or a related field
Experience with grant writing, project management and grant reporting
Proficiency in statistical or qualitative analysis software
Familiarity with interdisciplinary or community-based research approaches
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development in holistic wellness, including familiarity with mind-body-spirit healing modalities
