Responsibilities
Analyze, develop, and implement engineering solutions for complex systems operating under moderate technical uncertainty
Assess the customer’s architectural needs and desired capabilities and participate in requirements decomposition to ensure appropriate allocation of technical architecture elements
Create innovative solutions to complex technical challenges in signal processing design
Design, modify, and/or test existing electronic warfare signal‑processing and control algorithms, along with the associated system software
Develop and execute test plans, including test simulations and lab tests to verify system capability
Evaluate and assess functional performance of developmental RF systems, including signal processing subsystems, software, and/or firmware/control algorithms
Support bid and proposal efforts by providing accurate labor estimations and material cost estimations
Maintain organized workflows, documentation, and processes to support team operations
Prepare and deliver technical presentations, design reviews, and test result briefings to internal teams and external stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant systems engineering experience
RF system design, digital and analog signal processing, waveform and modulation analysis, and algorithm development, implementation, and testing
Knowledge defining system architectures, including requirements derivation, allocation, traceability, and configuration management
Experience with developing system models, simulations, and analytical tools to evaluate, predict, and optimize system performance
Ability to support occasional business travel (20% or less)
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred
Familiarity with development, implementation, and test of RF jamming algorithms
MATLAB, Python, C++, PathWave ADS, AMD Vivado, and/or PathWave EMPro for simulation and design of RF systems
RF receiver/exciter product design, development, and/or test experience in electronic warfare systems
Embedded systems and embedded programming
Experience implementing digital signal processing solutions on embedded processors and digital hardware
Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools (e.g. Cameo or similar)
Knowledge of DOORS for requirements management
