Assists individuals or small groups of students to enhance learning
Assists teachers with instruction and classroom management that occurs in special education and general education classrooms, lunchroom and play field environs
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics
Completion of at least 48 college credit units may substitute for the competency assessment
Valid driver's license may be required
Compliance with District skill/competency requirements
Valid First Aid/CPR card may be required
NCLB Compliance (48 college units (semester) or pass the Paraeducator Proficiency Exam)
Proof of HS Graduation (High School Diploma, High School Transcripts or Equivalent (ex: GED))
Resume (Provide clear evidence of required experience)
Valid CPR/First Aid card/certificate
