Factory Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

Bring new manufacturing and lab equipment online, from installation through full operation
Design, build, and maintain electrical and optical test systems for validation and production
Support optical performance characterization using custom test setups and instrumentation
Integrate new tools, fixtures, and automated systems into the manufacturing workflow
Work closely with process, optical, and manufacturing engineers on system performance
Diagnose and resolve equipment, tooling, and test infrastructure issues in real time
Develop calibration, qualification, and validation procedures for factory systems
Support pilot production builds and transitions from development to manufacturing
Create clear documentation for test methods, workflows, and system configurations
Drive improvements in reliability, yield, and overall production efficiency

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of hands-on experience in integration, manufacturing, or test engineering
Proven experience bringing up factory or lab equipment
Strong background in system-level integration and test infrastructure
Familiarity with optical testing tools, instrumentation, or photonics systems
Comfortable working in fast-paced, hardware-focused environments
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis abilities
Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Preferred

Experience with photonics, optical systems, or fiber-based technologies
Background in high-precision manufacturing or advanced packaging environments
Familiarity with automation systems, motion platforms, or factory tooling
Experience transitioning products from prototype to production
Exposure to data acquisition systems and test automation
