Responsibilities
Prepare and oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
Develop and maintain financial reporting schedules
Analyze financial data and present reports to senior management
Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis
Prepare and submit required regulatory filings and reports
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards
Coordinate and manage internal and external audits
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
Implement best practices and accounting software enhancements
Develop and update accounting policies and procedures
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing training and support
Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance
Preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
Experience in the solar or renewable energy industry
