Inspection Technician II - 2nd Shift (onsite)

Collins Aerospace is seeking a second shift Inspection Technician II to play a critical role in launching high-precision components that meet the demanding standards of flight. This role involves ensuring compliance and reliability of parts entering production, safeguarding quality, and serving as a key link between engineering, production, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

Perform First Article Inspections and complete related documentation
Inspect a variety of parts using measuring/inspection instruments (e.g. micrometers, gauges and calipers) with proper inspection techniques
Read, interpret and utilize Quality policies, procedures, blueprints and other documentation
Perform receiving, in-process, final inspection & 1st article approval of manufactured, assembled, and tested hardware and components
Operate computer systems to perform inspection tasks
Verify all work order documentation for accuracy and completeness
Administer visual and physical inspections of units and subassemblies
Complete unit shakedowns (when required) to check for foreign objects, rattles and loose internal hardware
Perform administrative tasks associated with files management
Perform other duties as required
This position requires successful completion of a post-offer visual examination to assess visual acuity and color vision annually

Required

Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
This position requires successful completion of a post-offer visual examination to assess visual acuity and color vision annually

Preferred

1+ years of experience with: First Article Inspection, Aerospace and Defense, Discus, Net Inspect, GD&T, mechanical inspection, visual inspection
ZEISS CMM Operator experience is a plus
