The Patient Research Specialist will support the Patient Billing Department by gathering and entering necessary information for payment of EMS claims, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

Work internally by gaining an understanding of all departments and how they work together toward payment of all EMS claims

Work with external parties, including but not limited to hospitals, insurance providers, attorneys and the patients we serve

Search various websites and hospital systems to obtain additional patient information needed to process claims, and add that information to the pateints' records

Handle correspondence via mail, email and telephone; perform other duties as assigned by management
