Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the utilities location
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential concerns
Monitor access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain the integrity of restricted areas
Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to site protocols
Collaborate with on-site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related needs and provide support during emergency situations
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors
Qualification
Required
An armed guard card or license is required
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
