In this role, you will lead engineering teams in developing and delivering BigQuery's engineering and security infrastructure while collaborating closely with product managers and other stakeholders to enhance BigQuery's reliability and engineering velocity.

Responsibilities

Lead several teams covering the whole spectrum of infrastructure for data analytics across the spectrum of multi-tenancy, security, quality, and velocity

Work with other engineering stakeholders to develop an AI base to ensure BigQuery service infrastructure and engineering infrastructure improves security, reliability, and velocity

Work closely with product management to define the product roadmap, in collaboration with Google Cloud and broader Google teams

Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in data analytics, security, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and agent development

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

15 years of professional experience in engineering leadership or related technical roles

Experience operating in an entrepreneurial environment, scaling new and emerging products from the ground-up

Preferred

PhD in Computer Science

Experience bringing innovative, industry-leading, category-defining tech products to market

Experience working with executive-level internal and external clients and partners, acting as a representative of the company

Experience with enterprise security and high scale distributed systems

Ability to work cross-functionally, partnering with groups (e.g., product management, product marketing, UX, and UI), brokering trade offs with stakeholders, and understanding their needs

Excellent narrative and storytelling abilities, communication skills, and presentation skills
