Associate Analytical Technician

Responsibilities

Perform routine and non-routine analyses on analytical equipment such as Gas Chromatography (GC), titrations, and spectrometry
Document, communicate, and archive results using appropriate IT software and electronic tools (such as Chromatography Data Systems (OpenLab)
Understand and execute procedures, policies, and work processes such as Environmental Health &Safety, Operating Discipline Management Systems (ODMS), quality procedures, and AWP (Analytical Work Process)
Perform basic calibration and maintenance of analytical systems
Monitor analytical systems

Required

A minimum of an associate's degree in a science discipline or related (at least 20 hours in chemistry) is required. 3+ years of relevant military experience also accepted. Bachelor's degree in science related discipline is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft products, including Outlook, Word and Excel
Able to work in an empowered team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to work a 12 hour rotation shift. This is a 12 hour rotating shift position that will require some additional overtime to cover plant needs and lab team vacations/absences
Able to work weekends and holidays
No routine travel

A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process
Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations Lift, push, and pull
Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
Stand 50% of the time
Walk for extended periods of time
Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to respirator
Work in an area with hazardous materials

Preferred

Experience with electronic tools (such as Chromatographic Data System (OpenLab)
Experience with Analytical Disciplines such as Chromatography, Spectroscopy, titrations, and physical property testing
