Responsibilities

Analyze existing systems and processes and identify value-added and non-value-added activities to solve design challenges
Conceive, design, develop, and test innovative solutions based on analysis and organizational objectives
Contribute to resolving quality and efficiency issues at the component level
Implementation and Control of Manufacturing Documents (Work Instructions, Tool Drawings, Process Drawings, etc.)
Estimate manufacturing cost, review/update time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines
Evaluate new and existing processes, equipment, and materials as an input for scheduling methods, performance metrics, and financial standards
Uphold the company’s reputation by delivering innovative solutions while adhering to local and national regulations
Manage and conduct employee training for productivity improvement projects

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5+ years of related experience
In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Promote Safety and Lean Continuous Improvement
Proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time studies, and process balancing
Ability to collaborate with Design engineers, program managers, manufacturing leads, and functional leads
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint
Strong communication, listening, and collaboration skills
Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and Tool/Fixture Design. Experience with Oracle and Agile
Understanding of Product Engineering, Product Design Reviews and ECR/ECO systems, BOM structure and Engineering Documentation

Preferred

Experience with Tubular Components and CNC Machining preferred. CNC programming a plus
Familiar with TIG welding and Orbital welding. Interest in robotics for manufacturing
Understand principles of DFM and DFA
Experience with 3D printing
Experience with Mechanical Assembly
