Start in 2026 SummerFarm Bureau Financial Services is looking for a Claims Intern for Summer 2026. The intern will perform various claims and appraisal tasks, primarily focusing on material damage claims and assisting with auto storm losses.

Responsibilities
Perform various claims and appraisal tasks
Reviewing, evaluating, and analyzing documentation in relationship to material damage claims and total loss vehicles
Assist with auto storm loses and manage claim assignments for material damage
Assist with managing and keeping track of losses during storm season
Manage rental vehicles and assist in processing title work
Performing tasks or working on projects within your hired work area
Exposed to learning in other areas within your assigned division
Spend time in shared experiences across the organization
Qualification
Required
Be a current college student
A quick learner who is looking to learn new concepts and ideas, and able to learn basic understanding of property insurance policies
Strong computer skills are required to quickly learn our multiple systems
Effective communicator, have excellent customer service skills, and be team focused
Must be detail oriented and willing to ask questions
Must be comfortable talking on the telephone, as approximately 75% of your time will be spent on the phone
Be available to work full time (8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday) from our Manhattan, KS office during the summer of 2026
Preferred
Agricultural, business, collision repair or insurance major preferred
Familiarity with Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred
