Infrastructure as Code Engineer (IaC)
WITS America, Corp. is a global IT services provider with over 30 years of industry experience. They are seeking an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Engineer to automate and manage complex IT infrastructure environments, focusing on building and supporting an internal IaC platform for Azure and VMware environments.

Responsibilities
Design, build, and support Infrastructure as Code platforms (InfraManager 2.0)
Develop and maintain YAML-based pipelines and automation workflows
Build and manage configuration automation using Ansible, PowerShell, and scripting
Integrate IaC tooling with Azure DevOps Pipelines and VMware Cloud Director
Enable internal developers to rapidly provision and tear down infrastructure
Collaborate with engineering teams to gather feedback and drive platform adoption
Define and enforce IaC standards, best practices, and documentation
Act as a platform advocate, supporting teams and aligning tooling with business needs
Qualification
Required
4-10 years of professional experience in Infrastructure as Code or platform engineering
Proven experience designing or operating IaC platforms at scale
Strong expertise with Azure DevOps Pipelines (YAML)
Ansible
PowerShell (or Python / Bash)
VMware Cloud Director
Experience integrating IaC with CI/CD workflows and secret management tools (e.g., Key Vault)
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Ability to mentor engineers and support cross-team adoption of internal platforms
Ability to commute to San Leandro, CA 94577
Ability to relocate to San Leandro, CA 94577 before starting work
Preferred
Experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or similar IaC tools
Familiarity with cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure models
Experience building internal developer platforms or enablement tooling
Background in writing technical documentation or onboarding materials
Exposure to Azure or hybrid cloud environments
