Northern Arizona Council of Governments is seeking a AAA Fiscal Administrator to manage the financial activities of the department. This role involves developing fiscal policies, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles while maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

Develops and maintains fiscal policies and procedures, including staff training and technical assistance, to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Makes recommendations, provides analyses, and prepares the departmental budget for submission to the State

Codes and approves invoices to ensure completeness, accuracy, and prompt payment to vendors

Submits invoices to the Arizona Department of Economic Security for the reimbursement of expenses

Reviews, processes, tracks and maintains staff reimbursements and credit card expenses to ensure accuracy and payment

Tracks expenditures and contract balances on a daily basis to ensure complete and accurate recordkeeping

Reconciles department accounts and expenditure reports on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy

Assists with the year-end closeout of the budget with the State to ensure fiscal compliance

Maintains all department fiscal records and contracts to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Assists with internal/external audits to ensure compliance with federal regulations

Other related duties as assigned
