They are seeking an experienced Database Administrator – Consultant to support enterprise Oracle database environments, responsible for database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and collaboration with development teams.

Responsibilities

Administer and support Oracle Database environments including Oracle 11g and 12c

Perform full lifecycle database administration activities including installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance

Demonstrate strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, physical structures, and performance analysis

Execute database planning, scaling, and capacity management activities

Design and optimize databases including data modeling, indexing strategies, and performance tuning

Support software development life cycle activities by working closely with development teams

Deploy, configure, and maintain Oracle technologies including:

Oracle Data Guard

Oracle Enterprise Manager

Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM)

Oracle ACFS

Oracle GoldenGate

Oracle RAC

Perform and configure RMAN backup and recovery operations

Ensure database availability, integrity, and security

Follow ITIL, ITSM, Managed Services, DevOps, and SOA operational best practices

Communicate effectively with technical teams, stakeholders, and management through written and verbal updates

Required

Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business field

7+ years of experience in a Development or Service Administration role

5+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience

Experience performing and configuring RMAN backup and recovery

Experience working with development teams (5+ years)

Experience with Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle database installations, and Oracle RAC

Exposure to ITIL, ITSM, Managed Services, DevOps, and SOA operational models

Strong understanding of database design, data modeling, performance tuning, and optimization

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
