Director of Inside Sales – Electrical Testing Services
Grid Careers is seeking a Director of Inside Sales to lead and scale a technically focused inside sales organization supporting electrical testing and substation services. This role requires a technically fluent sales leader with a strong understanding of electrical apparatus and testing methodologies.
Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technical inside sales representatives, setting clear expectations and driving performance
Serve as the internal technical authority on electrical apparatus and substation testing equipment
Provide guidance on protective relay testing methodologies, applications, and industry standards
Maintain a deep understanding of substation equipment, including breakers, transformers, switchgear, protective relays, batteries, and associated systems
Support and advise the sales team on selecting appropriate test equipment based on customer requirements, including platforms from Doble , OMICRON , Megger , and Vanguard Instruments
Oversee quoting, order management, and customer support processes to ensure accuracy, responsiveness, and technical integrity
Collaborate closely with engineering, field services, and product teams to support customer needs and drive revenue growth
Develop and implement training materials, onboarding programs, and processes to continuously elevate the technical capability of the sales team
Analyze sales performance metrics, identify growth opportunities, and implement strategies to improve team effectiveness and scalability
Qualification
