Acadia Healthcare is seeking an Admissions Coordinator for Starlite Recovery Center, which has been providing effective drug rehab for substance abuse and related issues for over 67 years. The role involves managing the admission and registration of patients, maintaining communication with referrals and families, and ensuring all documentation and reports related to admissions are handled appropriately.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the admission and/or registration of patients into the facility and maintaining communication between the facility and the patient referrals and family

Review prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies and procedures

Schedule assessments

Conduct pre-admission assessments

Assist prospective patients and significant others in seeking treatment

Refer inquiries to other agencies and community resources when not appropriate for facility assistance or admission

Coordinate with referral sources

Responsible for maintaining all the documentation involved with the admissions process

Responsible for all reports related to admissions and ensuring databases and EMR are updated appropriately

Coordinate transportation of clients (arrivals, discharges, appointments, etc...)

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required

One-year experience in healthcare admissions, preferably in the mental health or substance abuse field

CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility)
