NYSERDA, through its division NY Green Bank, is focused on advancing clean energy and renewable infrastructure in New York State. The Investment Administration & Portfolio Support Intern will assist with transaction documentation, support document retention processes, and conduct analyses to help facilitate NYGB's mission of mobilizing private capital for clean energy projects.

Responsibilities

Register collateral: Uniform Commercial Code (UCCs), Membership Interest Certificates (MICs), and promissory notes, in DealCloud database for new transactions and modifications to existing transactions

Support document retention and inventory throughout transaction lifecycle maintaining: NYGB safe, files for exited transactions and collateral in SharePoint Database

Review existing collateral tracking and document retention process, propose recommendations to enhance efficiency and accuracy and assist with implementation where appropriate

Compile Weekly reporting reflecting upcoming transactions (fundings, payments and withdrawals) and reporting requirements across the portfolio

Perform ad hoc analyses and research to support NYGB’s teams and mission as well as other responsibilities assigned

Required

Current full-time college student working toward a bachelor's degree (relevant majors may include but are not limited to business, finance, data analytics, economics, energy, environmental studies)

Strong experience with MS Excel required, experience with additional MS Office products and SharePoint helpful

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Demonstrated interest in financial markets and/or clean energy

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts

Excellent work ethic and aptitude to perform under tight deadlines to contribute to NYGB's success

Capable of working under limited supervision and taking on new and unfamiliar tasks
