Responsibilities

Drive ARMP initiatives to include Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) tracking, autonomous maintenance, RCA, preventative maintenance, and outage scheduling

Manage CMMS Coordinator and Reliability Engineer

Maintain maintenance-focused KPIs for the facility

Manage special initiative projects under the direction of the Corporate Preventative Maintenance Engineer

Periodically travel to other Universal sites to become knowledgeable in the performance of preventative maintenance activities and develop best practices

Ensure that preventative maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies

Create, distribute, and update guidance documents for preventative maintenance practices

Required

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical Engineer, or any equivalent title

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records

Ability to collaborate effectively with others

Ensuring accuracy in maintenance tasks and record-keeping

Adhering to safety regulations and procedures

Prior experience in a maintenance or engineering role with specific steel industry experience

Preferred

5+ years heavy industrial or manufacturing - Steel making experience preferred

Knowledge of IBM Maximo EAM platform is a strong plus
