Process Engineer
Talnt is involved in high-volume metal fabrication and automotive manufacturing, and they are seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer. This role focuses on designing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes while applying lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities
Create and manage manufacturing process design projects from concept through production launch
Translate customer requirements and technical specifications into robust, scalable manufacturing processes
Apply lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and waste reduction principles to new and existing processes
Develop and maintain manufacturing process flows, control plans, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses
Analyze high Risk Priority Number items and implement PFMEA risk reduction and corrective action plans
Participate in Product Quality Planning activities and cross-functional quality and engineering teams
Evaluate production trial runs in collaboration with quality assurance to ensure process capability and compliance
Establish, document, and update standard work instructions, operating procedures, and process documentation
Lead Kaizen events, lean productivity improvement initiatives, and value-added process optimization efforts
Create facility floor layouts, value stream maps, and material flow strategies to support efficient production
Develop return on investment analyses and business cases for capital equipment and tooling investments
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
Proven experience in process engineering within metal fabrication, automotive manufacturing, or high-volume production environments
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Kaizen, value stream mapping, and continuous improvement methodologies
Hands-on experience creating PFMEA documents, control plans, and manufacturing process flows
Ability to analyze production data, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions
Experience supporting production launches, ramp-ups, and ongoing process optimization initiatives
Proficiency with manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with quality, engineering, operations, and leadership teams
Preferred
Experience supporting automotive supplier manufacturing environments and quality systems
Familiarity with capital equipment justification, cost analysis, and ROI development
Knowledge of production trial validation, process capability studies, and continuous improvement metrics
Experience leading cross-functional teams, lean events, or productivity improvement projects
Background in facility layout planning and material flow optimization
Long-term production planning experience supporting sustained growth and increased customer demand
