Responsibilities

Prepare or assist other PMs with writing proposals
Collaborate as a PM or in support of other PMs with the resourcing of staff and scheduling work
Coordination of planning, survey, municipal, transportation, traffic and other civil departments and disciplines
Responsible for directing staff in the design of on-site and/or public water and sewer systems per the local regulations
Responsible for directing technical staff with Field Inspections and/or in efforts to certify improvements meet the plans as approved
Complete permit applications for a variety of agencies
Possess an understanding of materials and methods
The Civil Project Engineer 2 must be able to interpret state and local design criteria and apply it to the specific project needs
Regularly has work assignments checked by peer or supervisor
The Civil Project Engineer 2 will direct and train other Civil Designers to assist them in completing reports, exhibits, plans and specifications and permit applications as required by the project’s contractual scope
Ability to consistently produce high quality construction documents

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer license
5 years minimum but 6 years preferred experience of engineering design in an engineering firm
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision, technical plans and drawings
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in construction
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups

Preferred

Expertise in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D software to enable mentorship of technical staff not necessary but is desirable for the ideal Candidate
