Grand Canyon Education, Inc. partners with colleges and universities to enhance pre-licensure healthcare programs. The Academic Success Coach is responsible for supporting and guiding students in an accelerated nursing program, focusing on academic advising and retention efforts.

Responsibilities

Facilitation and support of student progression

Provide on-site success coaching and coordination of appropriate student services

Manage student registration process for each semester (3 per year)

Provide proactive and developmental coaching/advising for all active students

Actively initiate and continue ongoing guidance to students whose grades, attendance, and/or personal barriers put them academically at risk

Communicate concerns about student progress to the student, faculty members, and administration in conjunction with coaching efforts and strategy

Consistently stay engaged with students in order to promote success by using forums such as one-on-one meetings, phone calls, and success workshops

Act as a liaison for student(s) in matters related to academic appeals, readmission requests, grievances, etc. affecting a student’s progress through the program

Appropriately document communication with students and maintain all required student population reports
