Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and gRPC services supporting internal and external system integrations
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Technical Leads, and other Engineers within a pod-based Agile model
Ensure clean, modular, testable, and reusable backend code
Own testing responsibilities end-to-end, including:
Unit testing
Integration testing
Mutation testing
Collaboration with Product Owners on UAT
Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous improvement of engineering standards
Contribute to high-level technical design discussions and present solutions to stakeholders
Actively identify and remove blockers, support backlog refinement, and ensure continuous delivery
Foster a collaborative engineering culture through knowledge sharing and cross-pod communication
Leverage AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Windsurf or similar) to improve development and test efficiency

Required

Strong expertise in modern Java (Core/Advanced Java, J2EE)
Proven experience with microservices architecture and backend service-layer engineering
API development experience (REST, HTTP; gRPC a plus)
Hands-on experience working in Agile development environments
Solid understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and software delivery best practices

Preferred

Exposure to blockchain or distributed ledger technologies
Smart contract experience (strongly preferred but not required)
Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB experience helpful but not mandatory)
Experience with Apache Kafka, JIRA, and JUnit
Familiarity with Ethereum, Hyperledger Besu, or other EVM-based platforms
Front-end skills (lowest priority)
