Lab Ventilation Engineer - Life Sciences Client Site

Responsibilities

Act as SME for lab ventilation systems (BSCs, VBEs, fume hoods)
Monitor, analyze, and resolve airflow and ventilation issues impacting lab safety
Develop and refine preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for ventilation equipment
Support lab renovations and equipment moves to maintain proper airflow and room balance
Assist maintenance teams with troubleshooting PM failures and remediation options
Ensure compliance with NSF-49, ASHRAE 110, and other applicable standards
Partner with LRL HSE to validate testing methods and alternative solutions
Provide technical input for deviation wording and compliance documentation
Maintain accurate ventilation system drawings and SOPs
Collaborate with project teams during lab renovations and capital projects
Participate in design reviews, feasibility studies, and airflow evaluations
Provide technical oversight during commissioning and qualification of ventilation systems
Align FM building ownership with lab renovation activities

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; or 10+ years of relevant experience

Strong communication skills to engage with scientists, HSE teams, and project stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver solutions that enhance lab safety and compliance
