Machine Learning Intern, Vehicle Perception

Responsibilities

Perception ML model R&D by prototyping, validating and iterating on existing and new model architectures
Own development of a new model functionality end-to-end. This means initial development, optimization, production platform validation, and fine tuning based on metrics and on road performance
Team player and “get things done” mentality
Produce a final report and present to the the autonomy team
Collaborate closely with other Perception team members as well as with upstream and downstream customer teams

Required

Currently pursuing a Masters or PhD degree with research focus in: Computer Vision, Robotics, Deep Learning
Strong programming skills in Python and ML development with PyTorch
Proven ability to develop ML models
Extensive experience in deep learning
Strong communication skills and ability to communicate concepts clearly and precisely
Passionate about self driving car technology and its potential for humanity
