The University of Colorado Anschutz is seeking a Faculty Liaison for the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship in Estes Park. This role involves assisting with the administration of the clerkship, mentoring students, and ensuring quality clinical education experiences.

Responsibilities

Assist with the administration of the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship in Northern Colorado – Estes Park experience as needed, and work to continually improve the experience for students and preceptors
Participate in LIC team planning meetings or calls when needed
Communicate effectively with the LIC coordinator(s) and director(s) as needed
Work with the team to create a schedule for students at your site that aligns with the rest of the clerkship
Identify interested preceptors for the clerkship experience, and assist them in obtaining clinical faculty appointments with CUSOM
Develop, coordinate, and communicate a clinical schedule schedule with the student(s) and preceptors at your site
Work with the team to identify and support faculty development for preceptors
Ensure adequate student feedback from faculty at your site
Work with team to develop and deliver student orientation at your site
Stay abreast of any changes in clerkship requirements so these can be adopted
Provide feedback and remediation to any faculty not meeting expectations of excellence in clinical teaching
Participate in teaching by precepting student(s) and giving feedback as requested
Work with the LIC director and preceptors to identify students who need remediation and refer them to Northern Colorado LIC leadership
Assist LIC coordinator in gathering evaluations and feedback from specialty attendings about their LIC students
Share feedback on the LIC with attending faculty physicians

Required

Candidates must hold a terminal degree such as an MD or DO degree from an accredited University
Practicing clinically in Estes Park, Colorado
Candidates must be able to obtain an Instructor faculty appointment at the University of Colorado School of Medicine
Candidates must hold a terminal degree such as an MD or DO degree from an accredited University
Practicing clinically in Estes Park, Colorado
Candidates must be able to obtain a Sr Instructor faculty appointment at the University of Colorado School of Medicine
Candidates must hold a terminal degree such as an MD or DO degree from an accredited University
Practicing clinically in Estes Park, Colorado
Candidates must be able to obtain an Assistant Professor faculty appointment at the University of Colorado School of Medicine
Candidates must hold a terminal degree such as an MD or DO degree from an accredited University
