Responsibilities

Directs and manages the development, operations, and growth of assigned program areas
Develops and manages the budgets related to the position. Meets fiscal objectives. Closely monitors revenue and expense
Recruits, hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises assigned staff and volunteers in assigned areas
Compiles program statistics and provides data and reports as required for assigned programs. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in programs
Provides leadership and support for branch management team, annual fundraising campaign, and volunteer committees as assigned
Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations and agencies related to assigned programs
Distributes program information necessary to promote assigned programs in accordance with branch marketing plans
Ensures that safety procedures are followed and that all programs are in compliance with YMCA best practices and any other applicable standards
Ensures high quality programs through program development evaluations and ongoing training of staff
Ensures upkeep of related facilities and equipment
Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

21 years of age or older
High school graduate or equivalent
Five or more years of experience working with children
One year or more of supervisory experience
Strong customer service skills, responding to multiple questions via phone, email and in person. Ability to problem solve and resolve conflict
Strong computer skills and experience working with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
Knowledge of standard office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers and phone systems
Current state approved first-aid certification
Current state approved infant/child (or community if school aged) CPR certification
At hire, or earliest possible training (but no later than 90 days after employment)

Preferred

College degree. Other applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position will be considered
Prefer knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.)
Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered
