Procurement Manager

Responsibilities

Communicate with customer service, production, shipping, receiving, and inventory to exchange information regarding all products, materials, production schedules, and inventory needs
Delegate duties to teams for costing, shipping, scheduling, oil deliveries, purchasing activities, materials planning, and all other tasks required
Work with Inventory teams and the Sr. Director of Finance for needs related to finished goods inventory, raw material inventory levels, and accuracy
Oversee coordination of the production schedule and shipments to meet customer orders, including production planning, monitoring material availability, and ensuring timely replenishment of raw materials and packaging
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor
Manage purchasing activities, including supplier communication, pricing negotiations, vendor performance, maintaining updated costing, and procurement of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging

Required

Oversees purchasing, materials management, and production planning activities
Ensures the timely availability of all raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and supplies needed to meet production schedules and customer orders
Manages supplier relationships
Negotiates pricing
Maintains accurate costing information
Coordinates production schedules and shipments
Maintains inventory levels
Schedules oil deliveries
Monitors usage
Supports customer service with product availability
Manages artwork, labeling, and product documentation
Maintains production standards
Coordinates new product information (packaging, pack sizes, costing sheets, master templates)
Ensures accuracy of production orders within the ERP system
Requires strong cross-functional communication with Customer Service, Production, Shipping, Receiving, Inventory teams, and Finance
Organizes and maintains a cohesive team that supports purchasing, materials planning, production scheduling, and shipping activities
Facilitates effective communication with Customer Service and the Osceola facility to meet order and shipment requirements
Supports and ensures compliance with all programs, policies, and procedures outlined in the Food Safety and Quality Management System
Fulfills assigned food safety and regulatory responsibilities in accordance with the SQF Food Safety Code
Actively contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and EOS
