Electronics Technician

LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an Intermediate Level Electronic Technician to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) with installing, maintaining, and integrating systems within the National Airspace System (NAS). The technician will perform installation, operation, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and modification of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring the safe and effective operation of all equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform coordination, operation, repair, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, modification, and documentation activities
Develop and execute working knowledge and understanding of the impact of specific system performance in provided NAS and non-NAS wide services
Utilize and interpret orders and directives, technical manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, procedures, and other publications as required to complete multiple and complex work assignments
Apply practical judgment and discretion to select the most appropriate method to complete the work assignment
Use electronic test equipment required for maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of assigned equipment/systems as well as use proper personal protective equipment and safety procedures while accomplishing work assignments
Perform the essential functions of the position without hazard to themselves or others. Due to the nature of the job, usable vision (including color vision and near vision), hearing, and speech may be required

Required

Bachelor's degree +8 years of relevant experience
Five (5) years of relevant experience over and above the minimum experience requirements for the position will be considered equivalent to a bachelor's degree
Ability to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds; climb stairs/ladders and towers
Ability to bend or stoop for extended periods
Ability to work in diverse environmental conditions (outside/extreme weather)
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends and/or holidays
Must possess a valid driver's license
Ability to travel extensively for extended periods

Preferred

Knowledge of FAA operations and sustainment of DHS' Maritime Approaches Surveillance Towers (MAST)
Experience drafting technical drawings for changes made to operational infrastructure environments
