Video/Media Buyer
KWG is a communications agency focused on delivering impactful results for clients. They are seeking an Associate Media Buyer to manage day-to-day TV buying and collaborate with various teams to maximize client value through effective campaign execution and optimization.

Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day buying and budget stewardship across Network, Cable, Syndication, and :10 units
Negotiate scatter avails, rates, and placement to secure efficient, high-impact schedules
Conduct marketplace check-ins and analyze brand allocation grids to keep plans on-strategy
Oversee traffic logistics (copy rotations, flighting, clearance) and serve as the primary vendor contact
Monitor delivery via vendor pre-/post-logs, corporate trackers, and matching reports; escalate ADUs as needed
Maintain budget accuracy in order-entry systems (OUs, CPM grids, monthly breakouts) and reconcile invoices with Finance
Provide upfront and scatter analysis support (rating trends, CPP requests)
Support Manager to pull together marketplace evaluations and agency POVs as needed
Identify and request weekly/quarterly shifts to improve weight distribution and hit client KPIs
Partner with the CTV Lead as needed to align linear and streaming video strategies and secure holistic value for clients
Support documentation and refinement of department best practices (systems checks, posting workflows, vendor SOPs)
Partner with team leadership on recommending improvements to workflow (automation, AI integration, RACI, etc.) and learning and development initiatives for the team
Foster positive relationships with vendor and measurement partners to stay ahead of industry shifts
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in linear TV buying; confident negotiating with vendors
Thrive in a fast-paced environment, readily embracing change and new challenges
Possess a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in schedules, logs, and reporting, spotting discrepancies before they become issues
Ability to anticipate, recognize, and clearly define problems, demonstrating proactive problem-solving by seeking innovative solutions, weighing alternatives, and proposing solutions
Confident in data analysis and interpret performance metrics to inform strategic decisions: evaluating offered media deals and putting them in the context of the current market
Strong understanding/utility of Microsoft Excel and proficiency in working with large datasets
Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal managers and communication strategy teams
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with finesse
Actively looks for opportunities to streamline complex workflows, refine existing systems, and enhance team efficiency by implementing better processes, documentation, and tools
Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
Hands-on experience or familiarity with industry-standard media platforms, including Media Buying Software (e.g., Mediaocean); Ratings/Planning Tools (e.g., Nielsen systems, Guideline), etc
