Adjunct Developmental Math Instructor

Responsibilities
Use course texts, syllabus, exams, and curriculum materials provided by and in accordance with Program standards and guidelines
Plan and implement teaching activities and methods designed for a variety of learning styles and appropriate for developmental math students
Appropriately and effectively use class periods, maintain accurate student records for grading purposes, and professionally interact with students both within and outside the classroom
Demonstrate professional growth and development by regularly updating knowledge of both subject matter and effective teaching techniques
Communicate with, submit requested documents and reports to, and provide appropriate feedback to the assigned Lead Instructor and/or the Program Director
Develop, maintain and promote a positive work environment among all part-time and full-time Program faculty
Adhere to University and Program policies and procedures which reflect Federal, state, and local legislation that govern the educational process
Perform other duties assigned by the Lead Instructor and/or Program Director
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in mathematics or related field
Preferred
Seeking applicants who have a master's degree appropriate for a secondary education teaching position
Teaching experience at the secondary or post-secondary level
Ability to plan and implement student-centered learning strategies, including the use of technology where appropriate
Ability to work collaboratively with peers
Ability to exercise individual initiative and sound judgment
