Responsibilities

Manage the patient flow throughout the clinic

Assist providers in the management and treatment of their patients

Provide individualized care to patients from various backgrounds and age groups including infants, children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics

Collaborate with the Clinic Supervisor, Clinic Manager, and Providers to meet defined goals

Communicate with the health care team related to progress, concerns, questions or problems that arise

Qualification

Registered Medical Assistant certificationCurrent BLS CertificationX-Ray Operator's examinationClinical experienceComputer software applicationsPrioritization skills

Required

High School graduate or equivalent (i.e. GED) required

Graduate of a Medical Assistant program accredited by a recognized accrediting organization (i.e. Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools) with on the job experience and training OR

Graduate of a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) program accredited by a national health services organization (i.e. American Medical Technologists) with on-the-job experience and training and passing the RMA certification exam

Current BLS Certification

Registered Medical Assistant certification required if RMA program attended

Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks in an efficient manner

Knowledge of a skill in using computer software applications
